What does IPID investigate?

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate Act, No 1 of 2011 provides for the establishment of an Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) which is an independent police complaints body that must investigate any alleged complaint of misconduct or offence committed by a member of the police service.
